Who defines this concept called freedom in the United States?

This blog post is not designed to be some sort of exercise in time wasting. Rather, the question you saw in the paragraph above invites you to engage with me and anyone else who wishes to join in a serious conversation about who defines freedom.

If it’s the government, then doesn’t that invite tyranny?

If it’s the majority, then doesn’t that invite mob rule?

If it’s the individual, then doesn’t that invite anarchy?

Now think about the examples of freedom regularly currently and often loudly discussed in this country.

Who decides what freedom means in these cases?

Let’s talk.
