The man entered the bus
Carrying a giant green trash bag
It was full
When he walked
The bag smacked against the ground
A familiar sound echoed in my ears
But I’d never heard it that loud
I wondered how much money that bag held
In aluminum cans
When he exited
He said, “God bless you” to no one in particular
A lesson learned
